Why This Mission Matters:
Programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are the backbone of health and retirement security for millions of Americans who paid into them over a lifetime of work. This issue is personal to Chris. His parents rely on Medicare, and he has seen firsthand how much that stability matters for families who did everything right and simply want to age with dignity.
Chris also knows how broken the system can feel even when you are insured. He has stood at the pharmacy counter himself and been shocked by the cost of prescription drugs. Prices like these force people to make impossible choices. Too many families are one illness, accident, or diagnosis away from financial crisis.
